Suzuki Forenza Exterior Review
Exterior - 7.5 (Good)
Reviewers are generally in agreement on the exterior styling of the 2007 Suzuki Forenza, which is heralded as an attractive car in a class in which styling tends to be rather uniform. The Forenza received a much-needed exterior update in 2006.
While The Washington Post described the previous exterior as "a work of passion-neutral design," the refreshed design on the 2007 Forenza now inspires a positive response among most reviewers. Styled by Italy's Pininfarina studios, which also styles exotic sports cars such as Ferraris and Maseratis, "the Forenza looks as though it might be a new Italian import rather than a Japanese entry-level car," reports Kelley Blue Book.
The attractive Italian styling of the 2007 Suzuki Forenza is enhanced by color-keyed bumpers, door handles, mirrors and bodyside moldings. Cars.com says the "clear, oversized taillamps complement European-style dual cylindrical halogen headlights." The updated styling also has a dual function for those more concerned about practicality than looks. "It's slick aerodynamic body helps provide good fuel economy and added stability at today's elevated interstate highway speeds," writes MSN. Since the Suzuki Forenza is one of the heaviest cars in its class, one issue repeatedly mentioned by reviewers is the noticeable effort required to close the doors. New Car Test Drive reports, "We're not talking blast-door weight here, but we frequently found ourselves staring at the ‘door ajar' light."
