Warranty

Based on the U.S. News analysis of reliability information from a number of different sources, the 2007 Suzuki SX4 receives mediocre marks for predicted reliability. The SX4 comes with a three-year/36,000-mile basic warranty.

The SX4 is also supported by a lengthy seven-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

Since it's such a new model, the SX4's reliability is questionable. This is complicated by the fact that, according to Newsday, Suzuki's "ranking among carmakers for reliability and dealer servicing is low -- near the bottom in J.D. Power and Associates' latest studies that measure quality out of the box, dependability, long-term satisfaction with dealer sales practices and satisfaction with dealer servicing." However, skeptical buyers can take solace that IntelliChoice named the SX4 a Best in Class winner for Lowest Ownership Costs.

In addition to the basic and powertrain warranties, the SX4 gets three-year/36,000-mile roadside assistance and a three-year/unlimited mileage rust warranty.
