The 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 engine that makes 381 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 401 pound-feet of torque at 3,600 rpm. The Land Cruiser's Environmental Protection Agency-estimated fuel economy gets some negative reviews. It has a fuel efficiency rating of 13 miles per gallon in the city and 18 miles per gallon on the highway. While reviewers aren't happy with those numbers, they are typical for the class. Standard on the Land Cruiser is a six-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission - which most critics agree is well mated to its V8 engine.
