Toyota Sienna - What the Auto Press Says
The 2009 Toyota Sienna ranks 2 out of 8 Minivans. This ranking is based on our analysis of 24 published reviews and test drives of the Toyota Sienna, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
The Toyota Sienna is a comfortable, safe and reliable minivan with a surprising amount of power off the line, a touch of exterior flair, and plenty of space for a family. It's also a great value, which helped it win the U.S. News Best Car for the Money Award in the minivan class.
The Sienna delivers one of the best combinations of power, comfort, and interior space in its class. For 2009, it gets only minor changes, including the addition of 17-inch wheels and dynamic cruise control for the XLE trim. "When looking at the numbers, Toyota's Sienna is clearly a strong player in the minivan segment," says Truck Trend. "And those who enjoyed the practicality, economy, and utility of last year's edition can expect more of the same for 2009."
The Sienna is available in four trim levels: the base CE and the higher-level LE, XLE, and Limited. All but the CE are available with all-wheel drive.
The Toyota Sienna is our 2009 Best Car for the Money winner for the minivan class. The award is derived from the Sienna's strong showing in our standard rankings and its excellent value, based on its price and IntelliChoice total cost of ownership. The Sienna and its main rival, the Honda Odyssey, are generally considered to be the benchmarks of their class.
