Exterior - What the Auto Press Says

The 2010 Toyota Venza's exterior is surprisingly innovative for an SUV. Its large 19- and 20-inch wheel options are unique within its segment. Still, a few reviewers say it isn't quite innovative enough and looks too much like its sleek predecessors.

  • "Toyota's never been known for daring styling, generally sticking with nondescript colors and designs. The 2009 Venza is something more daring. The stance is conspicuously wide in appearance, with a significantly broad, distinctive grille." -- Automobile Magazine
  • "The exterior, however, is similar to the vehicle's performance: nondescript. Try to describe it and not use the word ‘Murano.'" -- Detroit News
  • "The Venza is a very handsome vehicle, especially with those big wheels (19" on four-cylinder Venzas, 20" on V6-powered Venzas; the latter are the largest wheels ever factory-fitted to a Toyota)." -- About.com
  • "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder of course, but we'd say the majority opinion at the launch was that the exterior of the Venza was very well executed. Almost every angle of the vehicle looks carefully shaped." -- Next Autos
