Safety - What the Auto Press Says

The federal government has yet to crash test the 2010 Volvo C30. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named the mechanically-similar 2009 C30 a "Top Safety Pick" because it earned top scores in all of the Institute's crash tests, and offers standard stability control. Still, the car, like all Volvos, comes with an impressive list of standard safety equipment.

Safety Features

According to many, the C30 lives up to Volvo's reputation for a lengthy list of innovative safety features. Optional features include a Blind Spot Information System and rear parking assist.

  • "Lest you thought we'd forget to mention safety, the C30 is, after all, a Volvo. In addition to the standard bevy of front, side, and side-curtain airbags, the C30 protects with seatbelt pretensioners for all four seats, a whiplash protection system, a side-impact protection system, and dynamic stability traction control." -- Motor Trend
