Best Kia Deals: May 2013 Lease and Purchase

May Kia deals include fewer no-interest financing offers than some competing automakers. However, some Kia models carry cash back rebates and promotional financing, which is better than the May car deals offered by other automotive brands. Most Kia lease deals are comparable to the incentives that other automotive brands are offering in May, though in some cases you may be able to find a better deal by shopping the competition. This month, Kia has rolled out lease deals and promotional financing offers on the completely redesigned 2014 Forte.  

Most Kia incentives include 1.9 percent financing for three or five years, but some models have slightly better deals. The 2014 Kia Sorento is available with 0.9 percent financing for five years plus $500 cash back. Starting at $24,100, the 2014 Sorento is already less expensive than many affordable midsize SUVs. For example, the 2013 Ford Edge starts at $27,700, and is available with zero-percent financing for five years and $1,500 cash back in some regions. Although the Edge comes with more cash back and better promotional financing, the Sorento will still cost you less in the long run. With no money down, you’ll save about $2,000 over the course of your five-year loan by choosing the Sorento instead of the Edge.

If you’re looking for a lease deal on affordable small car, the 2013 Kia Rio is available for $159 per month for 36 months with $1,999 due at signing. Kia’s lease deal on the Rio is attractive, but you may be able to get a higher-ranking small car for less money. For example, you can lease the top-ranked 2013 Mazda3 sedan for $149 per month for 36 months with $1,999 due at signing. While the Rio and Mazda3 have identical down payments, the Mazda3’s lower monthly payments will save you $360 over the course of your three-year lease.
