Best Nissan Deals: February 2010 Lease and Purchase

Nissan has announced new financing rates and increased its cash back incentives on most of its 2010 lineup. However, these promotions are only good for the month of February -- the shortest of the year.

For example, did you know that the average price paid for a 2010 Murano ranges from $26,875 to $36,423? That’s an average of $1,981 below MSRP. So haggle away; just avoid making any costly car-buying mistakes.

Lastly, don’t forget to cross-shop deals just as you would cars. The Chevrolet Malibu, for instance, competes against the Nissan Altima. While Chevy is offering the Malibu for zero percent financing for 60 months, Nissan’s rate is 1.9 percent for the same period. At first glance, it looks like Chevy is offering the more affordable deal. However, a simple crunching of numbers reveals that the Altima would actually cost slightly less per month -- assuming an equal down payment, of course. While this has a lot to do with the fact that the Altima has a lower starting price, it’s clear that cross-shopping car deals is an important step in the car-buying process.
