The Best Deals on the Best Car for the Money Award Winners

Last Updated: Apr 01, 2011

Car companies are still updating their deals for April 2011.  As soon as those deals are released, we'll bring them to you.  Please check back soon.

When you take a look at our Best Car for the Money award winners, you’ll see a lineup of cars, trucks, crossovers and SUVs that provide strong value for the first five years of ownership.  But, nothing increases the value equation like saving money up front.  That’s why we’ve tracked down the best deals on the 2011 Best Car for the Money award winners.

While you may think that carmakers don’t have to offer deals on cars that are well-liked by reviewers and provide long-haul value,  they do. In some cases, those deals are really good.  Take, for example, the 2011 Chevrolet Malibu.  You can get it now with up to $2,500 cash back or zero-percent financing for up to sixty months. Either is a great deal, but to decide which one is the right deal for you, do the math. The cash back offer saves you $2,500 up front, but even with those savings, you’ll end up paying more in interest over the life of your loan if you get financing at 6.5 percent from your bank.  Go for zero-percent interest from Chevrolet and save $950 more than you would if you got the cash back offer and bank financing.

Even though the Best Car for the Money Winners provide great long-term value, they’re also popular with car reviewers. Even if you don’t want to commit to one of the winners odds are you’ll still enjoy owning one because they do so well in our rankings. Take the 2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata.  You can lease it now for as low as $269 per month.  In a typical month, that works out to be about $8.60 per day.  Cut out Starbucks, start brown bagging it and cancel that gym membership you never use and making that payment will be no trouble.

There are 18 winners in our Best Car for the Money awards, and we found deals on most of them. Don’t see a deal that interests you?  Check out our main car deals page for deals on other cars.
