2012 Lexus Models' Pricing and Details Announced

Lexus announced the prices of its 2012 lineup last week. According to a Toyota press release, more than half of the models’ prices will stay the same, despite inflation, decreased availability and higher transportation costs.

The entry-level 2012 Lexus CT 200h will start at $29,120, and the top-of-the-line Lexus LS 600h will start at $112,250, both unchanged from 2011 levels. But mid-range models like the Lexus RX, Lexus IS, Lexus GX and Lexus HS will all see price hikes.

The Toyota Prius-based Lexus CT 200h Premium will offer a new F Sport package with interior and exterior appearance tweaks and a specially-tuned suspension. The price of the CT 200h Premium will bump up by $350, or 1.1 percent, to $31,250, before adding destination fees.

All trims of the Lexus CT will offer Lexus’ new Vehicle Proximity Notification System, which is an external sound system designed to warn pedestrians of a nearby hybrid vehicle. This system will soon be standard on all Lexus hybrid models, and will automatically deactivate once the vehicle reaches certain speeds.

The Lexus GX doesn’t see many changes outside of a new paint color and body molding on base models. The IS-F gets new allow wheels and shock absorbers, and red leather seating replaces the orange and black leather seating option.
