2012 Toyota Tacoma Priced at $16,875

The 2012 Toyota Tacoma will be available this month.

Toyota has released pricing data for the 2012 Toyota Tacoma, which will start at $16,875 for Regular Cab 4x2 models with 2.7-liter four-cylinder engines and five-speed automatic transmissions. Starting at $27,835, the 2012 Tacoma Double Cab will be the most expensive model. It has a 4.0-liter V6 and a five-speed automatic transmission.

According to Toyota, prices for all Tacoma models have increased for 2012, and shoppers can expect to pay between $10 to $645 more than the 2011 versions, depending on the model.

Aside from a price increase, Toyota has made some other changes, which “added comfort, usability and audio/infotainment performance,” says the automaker. Changes begin outside with a redesigned hood, grille, head lamps, bumper, fog lamps and antenna. Inside, there is a new center console with an updated control layout and a new steering wheel. Toyota says truck buyers need a Tacoma that can survive “hard work and hard play,” and to accommodate that audience, Toyota has added heavy-duty all-weather flooring as an optional feature on Access and Double Cab models.

Toyota also made the Tacoma more high-tech, and will offer optional Entune, an infotainment system that connects with your smartphone thorough Bluetooth or USB. With Entune, Toyota says you can access Bing, Pandora, check the weather or assess your stocks.

The 2012 Toyota Tacoma will be available this month.
