FIAT Supports Cancer Research with 500 Pink Ribbon Edition
Chrysler announced its partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation Tuesday by introducing the limited-edition FIAT 500 Pink Ribbon. “Just 250 units of the FIAT 500 Pink Ribbon will be built,” notes Inside Line. “The vehicle is priced at $22,500, including a $500 destination charge. Fiat will donate $1,000 per purchase to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.”
That’s a $3,000 price increase over the comparably-equipped FIAT 500 in Lounge trim, but the Pink Ribbon also adds a number of exclusive styling cues. Autoblog writes, “The 250 special editions are distinguished by the dark pink stripe running along the flank (contrasting with the silver or white paint) and other pink accents aplenty: pink stitching on the seats, pink ribbons inside and out, pink ribbon keyfobs... lots of pink and lots of ribbons, in other words.”
Chrysler says that the Pink Ribbon edition will be available at FIAT dealerships at the beginning of October, which is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. “We are honored to partner with an upstanding organization like The Breast Cancer Research Foundation that supports a cause so important to our consumers and our company,” said Laura Soave, head of FIAT North America, in a press release. “The Fiat 500 Pink Ribbon edition offers our FIAT consumers a unique and stylish way to express their support, help fund breast cancer research and ultimately drive change.”
