2012 Kia Rio Hatchback Receives Price Drop

The 2012 Kia Rio five-door hatchback will start at less than $14,000, Kia announced Monday. The affordable small car will go on sale next month and cost $13,600 with a manual transmission and $14,700 with an automatic. A destination fee of $750 will also be added to the sales price. Subaru to Add New Turbo and Hybrid Vehicles to its Lineup

Subaru will build several new vehicles in the next few years. The automaker said its goal is to increase fuel economy 30 percent across its lineup by 2015. “New engines and revised transmissions will contribute to two-thirds of the increase, while lightweight body and chassis technology will provide the rest,” Car and Driver reports. BMW Recalls 2011 3-Series Models

BMW is recalling the 328i xDrive and the 335i xDrive trims from the 2011 model year for front driveshaft attachment bolts that may not be tightened properly and could loosen, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports. Loose bolts “could lead to a loss of power to the front wheels and ultimately a vehicle breakdown, increasing the risk of a crash,” says NHTSA.
