FIAT 500 Abarth to Debut at L.A. Auto Show

Though reviewers say the FIAT 500 is a great downtown runabout, a few have noted that its 101-horsepower engine isn’t quite as peppy as rivals like the Mini Cooper. But Chrysler has announced that it intends to mitigate that, with the debut of the high-performance FIAT 500 Abarth at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Test Drive: 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ

I recently drove the 2011 Chevrolet Avalanche to a press event in Monticello, N.Y. along with my colleague, Rachel Smith, who covers small cars and compact SUVs. The Chevrolet Avalanche is a sport-utility truck ... continue reading»

Test Drive: 2012 BMW X5 35d

I’ve test-driven other upscale diesel SUVs like the 2011 Audi Q7 TDI and the 2011 Mercedes-Benz BlueTEC R350, so I expected another family-hauling luxury crossover with great fuel economy but mediocre acceleration. But I should have known better. From the minute I slid ... continue reading»

Most drivers log about 14,000 miles annually. Joe LoCicero of Maine drives that far in about three months. Honda announced in a press release that it hosted a surprise parade for “Million Mile Joe” to commemorate passing the million-mile landmark in his 1990 Honda Accord. Joe knew he was going to be presented an oversized key to a new 2012 Honda Accord from Ms. Maine, Ashley Marble, at a news conference, but knew nothing of the parade beforehand. “The ... continue reading»
