2013 Cadillac XTS Revealed
Cadillac released an official photo of its upcoming luxury large car, the XTS, after an image was accidently published to the automaker’s website Wednesday. The new model, which will replace the aging Cadillac DTS, is set to debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show next week.
Official specs and pricing have yet to be released on the XTS, but Cadillac plans to show off its new CUE infotainment system at the car’s unveiling next week. Edmunds writes, “CUE bundles a suite of infotainment, navigation and communication tools with an intuitive user interface, and debuts next year on Cadillac's new ATS and XTS sedans and the SRX crossover.”
Little is known about the XTS drivetrain, but most auto journalists agree that the XTS concept is significantly better looking than the cars it’s set to replace. “The XTS concept is stunning to behold in person, though in pictures its design can appear too simple, lacking the visual impact that should be present in Cadillac's range-topping four-door,” says Autoblog. “We'll have to wait until next week to see if the production XTS imparts the same first impression.”
The 2013 Cadillac XTS is set to debut Wednesday, Nov. 16. Edmunds reports that production will begin in spring 2012.
