Often times, those futuristic vehicles we see at auto shows seem unattainable because they’re so different from what’s currently on the road. Honda Civic Natural Gas Named 2012 Green Car of the Year

Green Car Journal awarded its Green Car of the Year Award to the 2012 Honda Civic Natural Gas at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week. The natural gas-powered Civic is the only factory-built car in the United States to run on the alternative fuel, Honda says in a press release. The recipient of the award must be a significant entry in the market and have “newness” and “quantifiable environmental achievement,” Green Car Journal says in a statement. Volkswagen Passat Named 2012 Motor Trend Car of the Year

The 2012 Volkswagen Passat was named the 2012 Motor Trend Car of the Year this week. This latest generation of the Passat has only been on sale in the United States for a few months.
