Ford, Honda Issue Voluntary Recalls

Ford has issued a voluntary recall on the 2013 Escape for a potentially faulty fuel line that could break, spilling fuel and possibly causing an engine fire. In a press release, Ford says the recall affects about 11,500 models built through June 11, 2012 that have the 1.6-liter Ecoboost engine. Honda Voluntarily Recalls CR-V, Pilot for Faulty Headlight Wiring

Honda is voluntarily recalling CR-V crossovers from model years 2002 through 2004 and model-year 2003 Pilot SUVs over a potential defect in the headlight wiring system. 2012 Honda CR-V Now on Sale

The 2012 Honda CR-V, which underwent a redesign for the 2012 model year, went on sale at Honda dealerships nationwide Thursday. Honda says in a press release that the 2012 CR-V will start at $22,295 for the base LX model with two-wheel drive and $28,295 for the fully-loaded EX-L trim with all-wheel drive, plus $810 for handling and destination. Thailand Floods Affecting Honda Production, Could Delay 2012 CR-V

Honda is cutting production at its North American factories in half due to severe flooding in Thailand that is causing a shortage of parts needed to assemble its vehicles.
