Number of Teen Driver Fatalities Increased in First Half of 2011

A study released by the Governors Highway Safety Association found that the number of teen driver fatalities increased in the first half of 2011 compared with the same period last year. The study looked at preliminary fatality data from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and honed in on the number of deaths for 16- and 17-year-old drivers. Government Investigates Fires in Chevrolet Trailblazers, Subaru Recalls 2012 Legacy and Outback

The federal government has opened an investigation into Chevrolet Trailblazer SUVs from the 2006 and 2007 model years for a potential fire hazard. Lexus Tops Dependability Study

If you like to drive your car, truck or SUV until the wheels fall off, dependability is important, and according to a new study, vehicles are generally becoming more dependable. J.D. Hyundai Raises Prices on Upcoming Azera, Genesis Coupe

Hyundai rolled out pricing information for two redesigned models Tuesday. The automaker announced in a press release that the 2012 Hyundai Azera would go on sale in April with a starting price of $32,000, making it the second most expensive car in its class, following the $33,195 Toyota Avalon.     Compared with the 2011 model, the 2012 Azera sees a significant price increase of more than $6,000.
