Teenage Girls Twice as Likely to Use Cell Phones Behind the Wheel

A new in-car video study by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety finds that teenage girls are twice as likely to use electronic devices behind the wheel as teenage boys. BMW Recalls 367,000 Cars in the US, 1.3 Million Worldwide

BMW is recalling 367,000 5-Series and 6-Series cars in the U.S. and a total of 1.3 million worldwide for a problem with the battery cable cover in the trunk, which may be improperly mounted. The recall affects 5-Series and 6-Series cars manufactured from 2003 through 2010. Consumer Reports Rates Three Updated Small Cars Highly

The 2012 Kia Rio, Chevrolet Sonic and Hyundai Accent receive high ratings in road tests from Consumer Reports because they show “improvements in performance, equipment levels, and comfort.” The organization applauds these three all-new or redesigned affordable small cars because they break the stereotype that subcompact cars are cheap vehicles with uncomfortable rides and poor performance.
