Chrysler Group Will Retire Town & Country and Jeep Compass

Chrysler Group LLC will make some significant changes to its Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and FIAT model lines within the next few years. The Chrysler Town & Country will end production in 2014, according to Automotive News, and an all-new crossover will take its place. 2013 Volkswagen CC R-Line Announced

Volkswagen is set to reveal an R-Line version of the newly-redesigned 2013 CC June 1. “With interior and exterior enhancements, the R-Line upgrades make the CC an even sportier vehicle,” the automaker says in a press release. 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Recalled for Airbag Issue

General Motors is recalling 4,304 Chevrolet Malibus from the 2013 model year to reprogram a component of the car’s airbag system. Under hard braking, the sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) could reset, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports. “If the module resets itself during aggressive turning and then a potential rollover is sensed, the side curtain airbags may deploy unintentionally,” Kicking Tires reports. Ford Now Accepting Orders for 2013 C-MAX Hybrid

Ford started taking customer orders for its upcoming 2013 C-MAX hybrid last week. The C-MAX goes on sale this fall and is Ford’s first dedicated hybrid car. Ford classifies it as a hybrid utility vehicle and it is similar in size to the Toyota Prius V and Mazda5.
