BMW 3-Series, Acura RDX Given IIHS Top Safety Pick Status
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has named the redesigned 2012 BMW 3-Series midsize sedan and 2013 Acura RDX crossover SUV Top Safety Picks. This means they both received the highest score of “good” in the Institute’s front, rear, side and roof strength tests.

Lexus Discontinues HS Hybrid
Though the Lexus HS 250h has only been on the market for about three years, Lexus confirmed last week that it has stopped building and selling the upscale hybrid because sales were so poor. New Rear-Wheel Drive Chevrolet SS Performance Model in the Works
Though Chevrolet isn’t releasing many details, General Motors has confirmed that it will introduce a V8-powered, rear-wheel drive performance sedan for the 2014 model year, to be named the Chevrolet SS.
