The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating the 2011 Ford Explorer and 2011 Chrysler 200 for separate issues related to power steering loss and engine stall.

2013 Ford Taurus EcoBoosted to 32 MPG Highway
The 2013 Ford Taurus offers more than just refreshed exterior styling. Ford has added an optional 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost engine to the Taurus lineup for 2013, and the automaker states in a press release that the Taurus is EPA-certified at 32 mpg on the highway with that engine.

2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid Estimated at 40 MPG
For 2013, Toyota is adding a hybrid version of its Avalon large sedan to the model lineup, and the automaker says in a statement it should achieve 40/39 mpg city/highway. General Motors is recalling more than 400,000 Chevrolet Cruze cars that pose a risk of catching on fire. About 53,200 Cruzes from 2011 and 2012 could potentially have a loose fuel tank strap, while more than 413,100 of the same models may be leaking flammable liquids.
