2013 Hyundai Accent Pricing Announced
Hyundai has announced that the 2013 Accent will cost $14,545, plus a $775 delivery fee. It’s $2,000 more than the base 2012 Accent, in addition to its main competitors, but the 2013 Accent sedan receives standard features like air conditioning and a USB audio input jack.
The base 2013 Hyundai Accent sedan also comes standard with satellite radio, a six-speaker audio system, heated side mirrors and remote keyless entry. A power sunroof is now available on the SE trim, while SE models now come standard with side mirrors that include turn signal indicators.
The 2013 Hyundai Accent sedan costs more than many of its main competitors. The 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, 2013 Kia Rio, 2012 Nissan Versa and 2013 Ford Fiesta all cost less than the 2013 Accent, though most of those affordable small cars aren’t equipped to the same level as the Hyundai.
If you’re in the market for a new subcompact car and intend to buy the least expensive option you can find, the 2012 Nissan Versa remains the cheapest new car you can buy, with a starting price of $10,990. That’s about $3,500 less than the 2013 Accent.
However, shoppers intending to opt for features like cruise control or an audio system with more than two speakers may find that the 2013 Accent is a good value. Equipping the 2012 Versa to a similar level as the base 2013 Accent will raise the Versa’s price to $14,980, which is $435 more than the 2013 Hyundai Accent.
Though the price of the base Hyundai Accent sedan is increasing significantly for 2013, shoppers in the market for a hatchback won’t be hit nearly as hard. “The base GS hatchback Accent gets a $100 increase, now $14,795, before destination,” reports Kicking Tires. The 2013 Hyundai Accent is currently on sale.
