The Los Angeles Auto Show press preview days start tomorrow, so expect the new car debuts to start coming out faster than the 2014 Nissan GT-R on the Nürburgring. Twenty-four world debuts and 23 North American debuts are set to take place at the 2012 LA show.

The Los Angeles Times calls the LA Auto Show the "premier stage for both cutting-edge green cars and sportier offerings designed to carve up" the Pacific Coast Highway.

"Green is especially in as gas prices continue to inch up," writes the New York Daily News, adding that auto show "attendees will see two dozen all-electric or plugin electric models at the show, at least a dozen clean-diesel vehicles and nearly 20 vehicles achieving 40-plus mpg with highly advanced four-cylinder gasoline engines." The Daily News adds, "At least 12 luxe brands will make their debuts including the 2013 Acura RLX luxury sedan, the BMW i8 Spyder hybrid roadster concept as well as an undisclosed world debut from the Bavaria will be on deck."

But green cars and sporty cars aren't the only things the LA show is known for. The Detroit News says, "California is king when it comes to small cars, and this year's Los Angeles Auto Show will reinforce that title." The Fiat 500e, Chevrolet Spark Electric, Ford Fiesta ST and Mini John Cooper Works GP are all set to be on display in LA.

Other debuts include the Nissan GT-R, two new trims of the Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Charger (according to The Detroit News), a limited edition BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series, Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Forte Sedan, Subaru Forester and Volkswagen Beetle Convertible. While they haven't announced the models yet, Ford, Jeep, Audi, Toyota, Hyundai and Honda are some of the automakers who also plan to unveil vehicles at the auto show.

We're gearing up to bring you the news you can use from the LA Auto Show, so check back all this week for the latest.
