Toyota Recalls 615,000 Sienna Minivans

Toyota Sienna Toyota is recalling approximately 615,000 Sienna minivans in the United States to fix an issue with the gearshift selector that could allow the vehicle to roll away. The company says that the affected vehicles, from model years 2004-2005 and 2007-2009, have a defect which could allow someone to move the gearshift selector out of the “Park” position without pressing the brake pedal. IIHS Adds Tests of Crash Prevention Systems

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety is adding an evaluation of automatic crash prevention systems to its criteria for a Top Safety Pick+ award. In a press release, the IIHS says that the rating includes models equipped with forward collision warning and autonomous braking systems. The new tests evaluate how effective these systems are at reducing speeds and preventing a front-to-rear collision with another vehicle at speeds of 12 and 25 mph. Backup Camera Recommendation Causes Uproar Among Consumer Groups

2014 Honda Accord Hybrid Pricing and Shipping Date Announced

Honda announced that its Honda Accord Hybrid will start shipping this Halloween, with a starting price of $29,155 (plus a $790 destination charge).
