March's Best Finance, Cash Back and Lease Deals
If you’re looking to score a good deal on a new car, truck or SUV, now is a good time to buy. February new-car sales were better than January’s sales figures, but about the same as they were in February 2013. Intense winter weather kept many shoppers out of dealerships the past couple months, and automakers are offering low interest rates, budget-friendly monthly lease payments and thousands in cash back rebates to entice consumers. Now that the snow is melting and spring is almost here, it’s a good time to head to your local dealerships and save money on your next new vehicle.
Cash back offers are good if you plan on financing through your credit union or bank, or you want to pay cash for your new vehicle. These offers are generally applied to the price of the vehicle, and essentially lower the amount you pay. Toyota is offering $1,000 on the 2014 Camry, Tundra and Venza this month.
Several Ford vehicles are available with thousands in cash back in March. The 2014 Taurus has up to $4,500 cash back, the 2014 Fusion has up to $3,250 and the 2014 Focus is available with up to $3,000 cash back. Up to $5,000 cash back is available on the 2014 Ford Expedition and a whopping $6,000 in cash can be found on the 2014 Ford Focus Electric.
General Motors also has good cash back deals this month across its brands. Up to $1,750 in cash is on the table for some 2014 Chevrolet cars and SUVs, while the 2014 Silverado 1500 is available with a $7,541 cash offer. 2014 Buick models have anywhere from about $2,000 to $4,000 in cash offers, and 2014 GMCs have even more of a cash back discount, ranging from about $2,200 to $7,500.
A number of compact cars have lease deals with low monthly payments in March. The redesigned 2014 Mazda Mazda3 sedan can be leased for $169 to $179 a month for three years with $1,989 to $2,299 due at signing. The 2014 Chevrolet Cruze LT is $159 a month for three years with $2,379 down. The 2014 Honda Civic sedan has two lease offers in March: $159 a month for three years with $1,999 down, or $210 a month for three years with $0 down and no first month’s payment.
If all the snow and ice has made you decide your next new vehicle needs better traction, check out the lease deals available this March on SUVs equipped with all- or four-wheel drive. The 2014 Subaru Forester is $239 a month for three years with $1,939 due at signing, and the 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek is $249 a month for 42 months with $2,149 down. The all-wheel drive Honda CR-V is available for $209 per month for three years with $2,699 due at signing, or $280 per month for three years with $0 down and no first month’s payment. The 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is available for $429 a month for three years with $2,995 due at signing. The 2014 Infiniti QX70 3.7 AWD has a lease deal of $469 a month for 39 months with $4,099 due at signing.
Zero percent financing is a great way to save money on your next new vehicle. Volkswagen is offering zero percent financing on the 2014 Jetta, as well as the 2013 Passat, Golf, GTI, Beetle, Jetta SportWagen and CC. Nissan also has interest-free deals this March on the 2014 Versa, Quest, Pathfinder, Titan, Maxima, Altima and Frontier. Ford is promoting interest-free financing on most of its lineup right now, including the 2014 Explorer, Flex, Mustang, Taurus, C-Max, Fusion, Focus, Edge, Escape, Expedition and Fiesta. Chevrolet is offering zero percent deals on its 2014 Volt, Traverse, Tahoe and Suburban.
Not all automakers have zero percent financing offers, though most are offering low interest rate incentives this March, which will still save you money on the financing if you qualify for the low rate. Most 2014 Honda models are available with 0.9 or 1.9 percent financing incentives this March. Hyundai’s promotional interest rates range from zero to 3.9 percent, and some models include bonus cash on top of the low rates. Kia finance deals this March also include bonus cash on some models, with financing rates of 3.9 percent or less. Mazda shoppers can take advantage of zero or 0.9 percent deals right now on most 2014 models.
