Our test 2014 Hyundai Sonata features a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 190 horsepower. A six speed automatic transmission is standard, and the EPA reports that our 2014 Sonata Limited gets an estimated 24/35 mpg city/highway.

The 2014 Hyundai Sonata starts at $21,450 and comes standard with features that include Bluetooth, a USB port and satellite radio. Our test Hyundai Sonata Limited has a sticker price of $30,850, including destination fees, and adds features like dual-zone automatic climate control, proximity key with push-button start, leather upholstery, heated front and rear seats and a ventilated driver’s seat. Our 2014 Sonata also comes with the Technology package, which includes a panoramic moonroof, an Infinity audio system with a subwoofer and amplifier, high-intensity discharge (HID) Xenon headlights, LED taillights and a touch-screen navigation system.

The Hyundai Sonata currently holds seventh place in our affordable midsize car rankings. For 2014, the Sonata gained a driver selectable steering mode system, updated interior and exterior styling and an available blind spot monitoring system. A fully redesigned Hyundai Sonata is slated for the 2015 model year.
