All-New 2015 Audi Q3 Starts at $33,425
Audi has announced that its all-new compact SUV, the 2015 Audi Q3, will start at $33,425 (including $925 for destination) when it goes on sale this fall. That price is for the base Premium Plus trim. The top Q3 Prestige model starts at $37,325. Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive system is available on either trim for an additional $2,100.
A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 200 horsepower and a six-speed automatic transmission are standard on all models. The front-wheel drive Q3 earns an EPA fuel economy estimate of 20/29 mpg city/highway, while all-wheel drive models return 20/28 mpg.
Standard features on the Q3 include leather upholstery, heated front seats, Bluetooth, dual-zone automatic climate control and a panoramic sunroof. Audi's voice-controlled MMI Navigation Plus infotainment system and a 14-speaker Bose stereo system are available.
Automobile Magazine notes that while it’s priced slightly higher than the base Mercedes GLA250, the 2015 Q3 “comes standard with a more impressive list of equipment. It has recognizable road appeal thanks to standard xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, and LED taillights.”
Unlike the 2015 Q3, however, Mercedes-Benz is offering a high-performance GLA45 AMG model from the outset. Car and Driver predicts that a more potent RS Q3 model may eventually be offered in the United States, but not until the 2016 model year.
