BMW 3-Series E46 BMW is recalling 42,080 3-Series models for a potential issue with the front airbag on the passenger side. The recall affects 2002-03 3-Series convertibles, coupes, sedans and wagons, as well as M3 coupes and convertibles. Goodbye BMW 3-Series Coupe, Hello BMW 4-Series

If you’ve been waiting for BMW to unveil the new 3-Series coupe to complete the redesigned 3-Series lineup, your wait was in vain. BMW 3-Series, Chevrolet Malibu Earn NHTSA's Top Safety Rating

The 2012 BMW 3-Series sedan and 2013 Chevrolet Malibu and Malibu Eco received five-star overall safety ratings from the federal government’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The 2012 BMW 3-Series sedan earned five out of five stars in side crash tests and rollover risk tests, and four stars in front crash tests. BMW 3-Series, Acura RDX Given IIHS Top Safety Pick Status

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has named the redesigned 2012 BMW 3-Series midsize sedan and 2013 Acura RDX crossover SUV Top Safety Picks. BMW Recalls 2012 3-Series, Issues Stop Sale

BMW is recalling some 2012 3-Series models due to front-seat head restraints that fall short of federal safety standards. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that the affected 3-Series “have front seat head restraints that exceed the downward movement limit of 25mm in the highest position.” As a result, the head restraint could lower slightly in a collision when it’s fully extended, which could increase the risk of injury.
