BMW Recalls 367,000 Cars in the US, 1.3 Million Worldwide

BMW is recalling 367,000 5-Series and 6-Series cars in the U.S. and a total of 1.3 million worldwide for a problem with the battery cable cover in the trunk, which may be improperly mounted. The recall affects 5-Series and 6-Series cars manufactured from 2003 through 2010. BMW Announces New Engine and Pricing for 2013 X3

The BMW X3 xDrive28i sport utility vehicle is getting a new engine for the 2013 model year that BMW says will increase the model’s fuel economy. BMW Recalls 32,000 Vehicles for Possible Fire Hazard

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced today that BMW is recalling more than 32,000 vehicles that may have a defect that could lead to an electrical fire. NHTSA says the recall applies to BMW 5-Series, 5-Series Gran Turismo, 7-Series, X5 and X6 vehicles from model years 2008 through 2011 that are equipped with turbocharged V8 or V12 engines. BMW Introduces ActiveHybrid 5

BMW announced Thursday it will sell a hybrid version of its 5-Series. The 2012 ActiveHybrid 5 is based on the gas-only 535i and is expected to hit U.S. dealerships in March 2012.
