Redesigned 2014 BMW X5 Gets Pricier

2014 BMW X5 BMW announced this week that the redesigned 2014 X5 SUV will start at $53,725, including destination, which represents an increase of $5,300 over the 2013 model. For 2014, BMW adds a new base model, the sDrive35i, which is the first rear-wheel drive X5 BMW has offered. BMW Recalls 32,000 Vehicles for Possible Fire Hazard

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced today that BMW is recalling more than 32,000 vehicles that may have a defect that could lead to an electrical fire. NHTSA says the recall applies to BMW 5-Series, 5-Series Gran Turismo, 7-Series, X5 and X6 vehicles from model years 2008 through 2011 that are equipped with turbocharged V8 or V12 engines. BMW Issues Two Recalls: X5 and 3-Series

BMW is recalling 243,120 X5 SUVs and 3-series models for unrelated issues. The first recall applies to 241,000 BMW 325i, 325xi, 330i and 330xi models from the 2002 to 2005 model years that have been flagged for rear lamps (tail light, brake light and/or turn signal) that might stop working.
