Audi Confirms Diesel Q5 for 2014

Audi of America Product and Motorsports Communications Manager Mark Dahncke confirmed that the turbodiesel V6 will be available in the 2014 Audi Q5 for the U.S. market. The 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 engine will be added to the 2014 Q5’s engine lineup, joining the 2013 model’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, supercharged 3.0-liter V6 gas engine and hybrid 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. 2013 Volkswagen Beetle TDI Priced at $24,065

Volkswagen announced pricing this week for the diesel-powered 2013 Beetle TDI, which will go on sale in August. Starting at $24,065 (including a $770 destination charge), the 2013 Volkswagen Beetle TDI will carry the automaker’s 2.0-liter, turbocharged diesel engine, which generates 140 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque. Americans Buy More Diesel Cars

Clean diesel automobile sales in the United States increased 35 percent in the first quarter of 2012 compared with the same time one year ago, marking a consistent increase in diesel car sales, according to a study by HybridCars.com and Baum and Associates.
