Chrysler Group is recalling 278,222 vehicles over concern that a rear axle pinion nut could loosen, causing the rear axle to lock up. In such an instance, the rear wheels would no longer turn, which could result in a loss of control of the vehicle and could lead to an accident.
The recall affects the following vehicles:
2009-2012 Ram 1500 manufactured between 2/27/08 - 6/30/09 and 12/1/09 - 10/20/11

Ram Ends Production of Dakota
The Ram truck brand has announced that the production of its smallest offering, the Ram Dakota, will end this week, reports Left Lane News. Though a replacement is planned, it won’t see production in the near future, so as many as 150 workers at Chrysler’s Warren Truck Plant in Michigan may be laid off.
