2012 Ford Focus Electric Earns 110 MPGe Rating

The 2012 Ford Focus Electric has received an EPA fuel economy rating of 110/99/105 mpg-e (miles per gallon-equivalent) city/highway/combined, Ford says in a press release. The Focus Electric has a range of 76 miles on a fully charged battery.   The Focus Electric’s mpg-e ratings are among the highest of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Ford Expects 100 MPGe from Focus Electric

Just last month, Ford started accepting orders for the 2012 Focus Electric. Honda Civic Natural Gas Named 2012 Green Car of the Year

Green Car Journal awarded its Green Car of the Year Award to the 2012 Honda Civic Natural Gas at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week. The natural gas-powered Civic is the only factory-built car in the United States to run on the alternative fuel, Honda says in a press release. Ford Accepting Orders for Focus Electric

Customers looking to purchase the all-new Ford Focus Electric can finally do so. On Wednesday, Ford announced that buyers can now place their orders by configuring a Focus EV on its website. Ford has not yet said when customers can take delivery of their vehicles. The Focus Electric is priced at $39,200 before destination, which, according to the Detroit Free Press, makes it essentially the same price as the Chevrolet Volt.
