Increasing Number of Car Shoppers Buying American

More car shoppers are buying or are more strongly considering buying American brand cars, according to the 2012 J.D. Power and Associates Avoider Study. This study “examines the reasons consumers fail to consider—or avoid—particular models when shopping for a new vehicle,” according to J.D. Power. Ford Recalls Fusion, Mercury Milan Sedans

Ford is recalling 128,616 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan sedans from the 2010 and 2011 model years. Certain models equipped with 17-inch steel wheels are affected by the recall, specifically those built from April 1, 2009 through April 30, 2009 and from Dec. 1, 2009 through Nov. 13, 2010, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports.
