3 Million Honda, Mazda, Nissan and Toyota Models Recalled Worldwide

Toyota recall, Toyota Corolla Faulty airbag inflation mechanisms have prompted four major automakers to issue a worldwide recall of approximately 1 million vehicles in the United States and about 3 million vehicles worldwide. Kicking Tires reports that the affected vehicles include Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Mazda models from model years 2001 through 2004. These models are equipped with airbag inflators that may be faulty. Honda, Nissan Issue Recalls

Separate recalls have been issued for approximately 183,000 Honda/Acura models and an unspecified number of Nissan/Infiniti models. Honda’s recall affects 101,000 Pilot models, 60,000 Acura MDX models and 21,000 Acura RL models from the 2005 model year, as well as about 800 2006 Acura MDX models. Honda Odyssey and Pilot Recalled for Missing Airbag Rivets

Honda is voluntarily recalling Honda Odyssey minivans and Honda Pilot crossover SUVs because some models may lack rivets that hold the driver airbag’s plastic cover in place. In a statement, Honda says that the recall includes about 748,000 vehicles. About 807,000 Honda and Acura Models Could Roll Away

Honda is recalling about 807,000 Honda Odyssey, Honda Pilot and Acura MDX models with automatic transmissions because they could roll away when the key is removed from the ignition and the vehicle is in park. Recall: A Hitch in the Honda Element

Honda is recalling 5,216 Element SUVs from the 2007 to 2011 model years. In a press release, the automaker says that when a trailer is attached to the Element, its turn signals may not work because the trailer hitch’s wiring is incorrect.  The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the trailer turn signal lights only work when the brake lights are on.
