Ford C-Max Hybrid Since the early 2000s, Toyota has dominated the hybrid vehicle market, with a 71 percent market share last year, according to The Detroit News. Honda Accord Plug-in Hybrid Earns Higher MPGe Rating than Fusion Energi, Prius Plug-in and Volt

Honda has announced pricing on the 2014 Accord Plug-in Hybrid, which is on sale now in California and New York. Starting at $40,570 (including a $790 destination charge), the Accord Plug-in Hybrid is more expensive than competitors like the 2013 Chevrolet Volt and Ford Fusion Energi, which start at $39,995 and $39,495, respectively, after destination fees. Ford Fusion Energi Earns Higher MPGe Rating than Prius Plug-in, Volt

Ford has announced that the 2013 Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid is officially rated at 108/92 MPGe city/highway by the EPA. The new plug-in hybrid sedan also delivers a combined rating of 100 MPGe, beating out the Chevrolet Volt and Toyota Prius Plug-in, which earn 98 and 95 MPGe, respectively.   The Fusion Energi is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and electric motor, which generate 188 horsepower combined. Want to look smarter and richer? Buy an electric vehicle. A new survey says that electric car owners tend to be wealthier and better-educated than the average American driver.
