Over 40 new and redesigned cars, trucks and SUVs are being introduced for the 2013 model year. That's more than 15 percent of the 2013 new car market. Small Cars Earn Top Safety Ratings

The 2012 Honda Civic and Hyundai Elantra earned the highest overall safety rating of five stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. In addition, the 2012 Nissan Versa was recently named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The IIHS categorizes the Versa sedan as a minicar.
