2013 Hyundai Sonata Gets More Standard Features, Higher Base Price
Hyundai has made some changes to the 2013 Sonata, which is on sale now with some new standard equipment and a higher base price. “All 2013 Sonatas now come standard with a six-speed automatic transmission; the manual-transmission GLS is no longer available,” writes Cars.com. “Without the manual transmission, all Sonatas now get 24/35 mpg city/highway.”

Hyundai rolled out its redesigned 2013 Santa Fe Wednesday at the New York International Auto Show. The new Santa Fe is the latest model to receive Hyundai’s “fluidic sculpture” styling, which is now common on most of the automakers vehicles, including the 2012 Azera, Sonata and the smaller Tucson SUV.

The Hyundai Sonata will be updated for 2014, and a redesigned Hyundai Genesis sedan will debut in 2013, Hyundai CEO Kim Choong-ho told Reuters Wednesday. Chevrolet introduced the full lineup of the redesigned 2013 Malibu Thursday, highlighting the model’s new powertrains and technology.
