IIHS Picks 13 Midsize Sedans with "Superior Crash Protection" for 2013

Last month, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety awarded 13 midsize sedans to its new Top Safety Pick+. 18 Affordable Midsize Sedans Undergo New IIHS Frontal Tests

In August, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety released a new front-impact crash test for midsize luxury and near-luxury cars. IIHS Rates Top Child Booster Seats

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety released child booster seat ratings last week, with 47 making the Best Bet list. The IIHS says, “manufacturers are designing seats to provide good safety belt fit for booster-age children.” The Wall Street Journal writes, “Recent improvements mean top-rated seats outnumber seats with lesser ratings for the first time since the safety group released its first booster ratings in 2008." Latest 2013 Models Shine in Safety Tests

Over 40 new and redesigned cars, trucks and SUVs are being introduced for the 2013 model year. That's more than 15 percent of the 2013 new car market. IIHS Announces More Stringent Front-Impact Vehicle Crash Test
