Big Auto Sales Mean Small Discounts in March

March auto sales numbers are trickling in with good news for most automakers, but bad news for consumers hoping to get a deal on a new car. Volvo V60 Wagon to Come to US

For many people, Swedish carmaker Volvo is synonymous with boxy station wagons.  However, they haven't sold a true wagon in the U.S. since 2010. Dodge Challenger Recalled for Fire Risk

Chrysler Group has issued a recall for 4,459 2013 Challenger sports cars from its Dodge brand. In a statement, Chrysler Group says the wiring harness in the cars could short circuit. "This condition could cause a wire harness to overheat and possibly lead to fire. Chrysler Group is aware of seven such incidents. None caused injury." VW Golf Wins European Car of the Year, New Golf Models to Come to U.S.

The Volkswagen Golf has been named European Car of The Year at the Geneva Motor Show. The Detroit Bureau reports, "The seventh-generation VW hatchback soundly beat out its closest competitors in balloting by 58 automotive journalists from 22 European countries. The Golf scored 414 votes compared to 202 for the Subaru BRZ sports car, which took second place, and the 189 votes tallied by the Volvo V40."
