Betting Big on Small Cars
This week at the Los Angeles Auto Show, several automakers rolled out new or updated small cars, a segment that has gained tremendous popularity over the past couple years.
Ford unveiled the 2014 Fiesta, which gets exterior styling tweaks and additional powertrain offerings. Toyota’s redesigned 2013 RAV4 SUV goes on sale early next year, following the release of redesigned or all-new affordable compact SUVs from Honda, Ford and Mazda. A number of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles are set to debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, but some automakers are also previewing diesel models that will hit showroom floors in the not-so-distant future. LA Auto Show Press Preview Kicks Off Tomorrow
The Los Angeles Auto Show press preview days start tomorrow, so expect the new car debuts to start coming out faster than the 2014 Nissan GT-R on the Nürburgring. Twenty-four world debuts and 23 North American debuts are set to take place at the 2012 LA show.
