Luxury Car Market Hits Six-Year High

Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class Almost 400,000 new luxury vehicles were sold during the first quarter of 2013. This is the highest sales volume of luxury vehicles since 2007, Kelley Blue Book announced Thursday. In its New-Car Market Report, KBB.com says the average price luxury buyers paid for their new vehicle also increased. Mercedes-Benz Cancels R-Class For 2013

The Mercedes-Benz U.S. lineup for 2013 won’t include the slow-selling R-Class crossover, according to Yahoo’s Motoramic blog. The automaker hasn’t announced the R-Class cancellation officially, but Mercedes-Benz Spokesman Christian Bokich acknowledged that U.S. sales numbers aren’t high enough to justify continuing to sell the R-Class in this market, though it will continue to be available elsewhere.
