The Mercedes-Benz U.S. lineup for 2013 won’t include the slow-selling R-Class crossover, according to Yahoo’s Motoramic blog. The automaker hasn’t announced the R-Class cancellation officially, but Mercedes-Benz Spokesman Christian Bokich acknowledged that U.S. sales numbers aren’t high enough to justify continuing to sell the R-Class in this market, though it will continue to be available elsewhere.

Mercedes-Benz Recalls Diesel Vehicles for Fuel Leak
Mercedes-Benz is recalling 6,872 diesel vehicles because of a potential fuel leak. “The diesel fuel filter may leak from the area around the heating component,” the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports.
Affected vehicles include certain 2011 E-Class, 2011 GL-Class, 2011 ML-Class, 2011 R-Class and 2012 S-Class models. The diesel fuel could leak near the heat source or leak onto the road. “This could lead to a crash or cause a fire in the presence of an ignition source ...
