Hyundai and Mazda Issue Recalls for Santa Fe, Sonata and Tribute

Hyundai and Mazda have issued separate recalls for the Santa Fe, Sonata and Tribute for separate problems related to the airbag systems and gas pedal. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 199,118 Santa Fe SUVs from the 2007 through 2009 model years have a faulty front passenger airbag sensor system. Ford Recalls 423,634 Escape SUVs for Faulty Throttle

Ford is recalling 423,634 Escape SUVs in the U.S. from the 2001 to 2004 model years. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, these SUVs, which have a 3.0-liter V6 engine and cruise control, are at risk of their gas pedals becoming stuck. Mitsubishi i Electric Car Receives Four-Star Government Safety Rating

The all-electric 2012 Mitsubishi i earned a four-star overall safety rating from the federal government’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The subcompact car also received four out of five stars in front crash tests and rollover tests, and a lower three-star rating in side crash tests. NHTSA gives the 2013 i the same safety scores. Audi Q5 Recalled Because of Breakable Sunroof

Volkswagen Group of America, which includes the Audi brand, is recalling 13,172 2012 Audi Q5 SUVs because the front panel of the available two-panel glass panoramic sunroof may break in very cold weather. More Lexus Models Recalled for Possible Pedal Entrapment
