Nissan Altima Recalled for Loose Bolts

Nissan is recalling 13,919 Nissan Altima sedans from the 2012 and 2013 model years because certain suspension bolts could come loose and fall off. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recalled vehicles were built from May 10 to July 26, 2012. Used Car Shoppers Should be Wary of Counterfeit Airbags

If you’re shopping for a used car that was in an accident and received new airbags within the last three years, it could be equipped with counterfeit airbags.  Although less than 0.1 percent of the U.S. vehicle fleet is at risk, the National Highway Traffic Administration says vehicles with counterfeit airbags are a safety hazard. Latest 2013 Models Shine in Safety Tests

Over 40 new and redesigned cars, trucks and SUVs are being introduced for the 2013 model year. That's more than 15 percent of the 2013 new car market. Recall: A Hitch in the Honda Element

Honda is recalling 5,216 Element SUVs from the 2007 to 2011 model years. In a press release, the automaker says that when a trailer is attached to the Element, its turn signals may not work because the trailer hitch’s wiring is incorrect.  The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the trailer turn signal lights only work when the brake lights are on. Ford Recalls 2013 Escape for Potential Engine Coolant Leak

Ford is recalling 6,146 Escape SUVs from the 2013 model year. The recall applies to models with 1.6-liter four-cylinder engines that could have an engine coolant leak. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that if the coolant leaks and evaporates on the engine when it is hot, a fire could start.
