Things to Consider if Gas Prices Continue to Increase
Earlier this month, we told you about the prospects of gasoline reaching $4 a gallon this summer, and perhaps even as high as $4.60 in major metropolitan areas. A couple weeks ago, the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report listed the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline at $3.48. The average price today is $3.64 a gallon. While no analyst is certain how high the price will climb, the $4 threshold is quickly approaching.

Mitsubishi i will be on Sale Nationally by Summer
The Mitsubishi i electric car will go on sale nationwide by this summer. The i, which is currently available for test drives in Washington, Hawaii, Oregon and California, will be available for test drives in the remaining 46 states by March, Mitsubishi says in a statement, and will be available for purchase by the summer. Mitsubishi is pushing up the national launch of its electric car nine months ahead of schedule.

The introduction of electric cars like the Nissan Leaf has certainly created a buzz in the marketplace. Edmunds reports that Nissan has delivered more than 8,700 Leafs in the U.S. since it introduced the car nearly one year ago.

Ford Accepting Orders for Focus Electric
Customers looking to purchase the all-new Ford Focus Electric can finally do so. On Wednesday, Ford announced that buyers can now place their orders by configuring a Focus EV on its website. Ford has not yet said when customers can take delivery of their vehicles.
