2012 Ford Focus Electric Earns 110 MPGe Rating

The 2012 Ford Focus Electric has received an EPA fuel economy rating of 110/99/105 mpg-e (miles per gallon-equivalent) city/highway/combined, Ford says in a press release. The Focus Electric has a range of 76 miles on a fully charged battery.   The Focus Electric’s mpg-e ratings are among the highest of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Nissan Leaf Now Available Nationwide

The 2012 Nissan Leaf became available to customers nationwide Thursday, after previously being available in only 29 states and the District of Columbia. Things to Consider if Gas Prices Continue to Increase

Earlier this month, we told you about the prospects of gasoline reaching $4 a gallon this summer, and perhaps even as high as $4.60 in major metropolitan areas. A couple weeks ago, the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report listed the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline at $3.48. The average price today is $3.64 a gallon. Mitsubishi i will be on Sale Nationally by Summer

The Mitsubishi i electric car will go on sale nationwide by this summer.
