Nissan Drops Prices to Boost Web Searches

2013 Nissan Murano Nissan has lowered the price on seven models in its U.S. lineup to increase sales, despite reporting a double-digit sales gain last month. “Nissan is hoping that the change will help the cars and SUVs show up more prominently on shopper search websites such as AutoTrader, Edmunds and Kelley Blue Book,” the Los Angeles Times reports. Hybrid SUV Competition Heats Up with Debut of 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid

Liz Opsitnik/U.S. News and World Report Last Wednesday at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS), Nissan announced their first hybrid SUV, the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid. Nissan said the seven-passenger hybrid will go on sale in late summer. Redesigned 2013 Pathfinder Priced Less than Traverse, Pilot, Explorer

The fully redesigned 2013 Nissan Pathfinder will have a MSRP of $28,270 when it goes on sale in late October. This starting price undercuts several of the model’s competitors, including the $29,135 Ford Explorer, $29,420 Honda Pilot and $29,660 Chevrolet Traverse. Nissan Leaf Now Available Nationwide

The 2012 Nissan Leaf became available to customers nationwide Thursday, after previously being available in only 29 states and the District of Columbia. Nissan Plans Two New Hybrid Cars

Nissan announced it will build a plug-in hybrid car and a new front-wheel drive hybrid car by the end of fiscal year 2016 as part of its six-year environmental plan.
