NHTSA Investigates More Toyota Models for Fire Hazard
In February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began investigating Toyota Camry sedans and RAV4 crossovers from the 2007 model year after owner reports of door fires. NHTSA has expanded the investigation, which now includes 2007 to 2009 Toyota Camry, Camry Hybrid, RAV4 and Yaris models. Toyota Highlander Hybrid SUVs from the 2008 model year are also included.

Chevrolet Cruze, Jeep Wrangler Investigated for Engine Fires
The federal government’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating certain Chevrolet Cruze and Jeep Wrangler vehicles due to owner complaints of engine fires.
NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation received two reports of an engine compartment fire in Chevrolet Cruze cars from the 2011 model year, and eight reports of the same problem in Jeep Wrangler vehicles from the 2010 model year.
