NHTSA Investigates More Toyota Models for Fire Hazard

In February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began investigating Toyota Camry sedans and RAV4 crossovers from the 2007 model year after owner reports of door fires. NHTSA has expanded the investigation, which now includes 2007 to 2009 Toyota Camry, Camry Hybrid, RAV4 and Yaris models. Toyota Highlander Hybrid SUVs from the 2008 model year are also included. Toyota Increases Prices on Six Vehicles

Toyota announced last week that it is raising prices on five model-year 2012 Toyota vehicles and one 2013 Scion vehicle. The MSRP increase ranges from $50 to $270, depending on the model and trim level. The higher U.S. prices will go into effect in May, Toyota says in a statement. Toyota Recalls More Than a Half Million Vehicles

Toyota has issued a voluntary recall on Camry, Venza and Tacoma models. In all, the recall impacts about 681,500 models. Affected Toyota Camry models are from the 2009 model year, while the affected Venza models are from the 2009, 2010 and 2011 model years. Government Investigates Fires in Chevrolet Trailblazers, Subaru Recalls 2012 Legacy and Outback

The federal government has opened an investigation into Chevrolet Trailblazer SUVs from the 2006 and 2007 model years for a potential fire hazard. Toyota Vehicles Investigated for Fire Risk, Nissan Recalls Versas for Faulty Shifters

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is opening an investigation into Toyota Camry sedans and RAV4 crossovers from the 2007 model year after owner reports of door fires.
