Toyota Issues Voluntary Recall

Toyota is issuing two voluntary recalls on roughly 235,000 Lexus and Toyota models in the United States. The first recall pertains to about 133,000 Highlander Hybrid models from the 2006 to 2010 model year and Lexus RX 400h models from the 2006 to 2008 model year. Could Ford Overtake Toyota in Total Hybrid Sales?

Ford C-Max Hybrid Since the early 2000s, Toyota has dominated the hybrid vehicle market, with a 71 percent market share last year, according to The Detroit News. Buying "American" Could Mean Buying Foreign

NHTSA Fines Toyota a Record $17.35 Million

In June, Toyota recalled the 2010 Lexus RX 350 and 450h SUVs because the floor mat could get caught under the accelerator pedal and cause the vehicle to accelerate unintentionally. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that Toyota recalled those vehicles too late and is fining Toyota a record $17.35 million. Toyota Voluntarily Recalls RAV4, Lexus HS 250h

Toyota is issuing a voluntarily recall of about 760,000 RAV4 models and about 18,000 Lexus HS 250h models over a concern regarding improper tightening of some rear suspension nuts.
